Introduction  :

The results are yet to be out and one more process is going on that is your document verification process for clause A students.

The document verification process was completed. While they filled the application form and for other students. Other clause students the document  verification process was going on till 28th of May right now. What will happen now the results will be out in a few days. After the results are out,  there is something called as counseling process will start. Okay, so what are the steps involved here now, see after you have your documents verified. Your results are out every student will receive a verification slip.

 Download Slip :

So, you have to download that verification slip from the website. We will be notifying you, when it is out but there will be a verification slip now in that verification slip. What you have to do you have to verify the details printed on the verification slip contact  in case of any discrepancy. Your name, rank and  college. Whatever details are there, you have to check that everything is correct and what else you have to do then you have to see do not share the secret key printed on the verification slip with anyone.  So, there will be a secret key there. The secret key and means there will be a credential your password user ID. Something will be given through which you can enter the counseling process.  So, that is why you have to keep that verification slip very safely and the user ID and password and  the secret key that is given to you.  Now, after that what happens entry of options by the eligible candidate. So, these students, who have received the verification slip. They all will be eligible for the counseling process.

KCET Counselling Process

Now, in counseling process also, there are various  like substeps in that the first step in the counseling process is to do option entry that has to be done by the candidates and what is the meaning of option entry here you have to put on all the colleges and all the branches, where, you are interested to take admission. For example, suppose your first wish is RV college computer science then you don't then we have an option that whether to go RV college ECE branch or BMS college CS branch right. So, there is a choice. So, you have to put no, I have to study only computer science or I want to study only computer science. So, what you will put, you will put all the top 10 colleges of computer science. The next preferred branch is supposed to be computer science with business studies. You will put all the business studies branches. So, here is a list of your preferences. Which college and which branch you are preferring. so, you have to put down. there's all the option entry you have to put all your choices and there is no limit to that  now, where, we have to do it. All your details, all your choices, clear in this option entry. What will happen with  option entry means indication of colleges and courses in the order of priority into the ka portal. So, you are telling the ka a portal. What you are interested in which branches. You are interested in next. We have based on the priority of the options entered by the candidates and merit seat allotment will take place. Now, We have told that  RV college.

Preference  During Counselling Process :

I want computer science but your rank is 10,000 will you get that obviously not. Right, so based on your choices plus based on your rank there will be allotment of colleges and branches. So, after you have done. your  option entry, there will be a publication of mock allotment results. Okay, mock allotment now. what is this mock allotment?  It is not a real allotment, the ka will take all your option entries. All your preferences, your rank and will assign you one college and the seat or the branch that you have chosen like for example, you have given RV so many branches. So, according to your rank according to the choice filling, you have done,  you will be getting BMS college and  information science. for example, so like this, one mock allotment will be done.  Now, once the mock allotment is done then the students will be provided for mock allotment and  results will also be published in the KA website then candidates can add or delete or modify or rearrange the options, so again after you saw the mock allotment . If You are not happy with that so or you want to make some changes in the option entry.  You can do you can add new colleges or you can delete some options. You can modify them or rearrange the options and then finally you have to save all your options. Once, you have saved then finally. What will happen ?  the real allotment will take place.  There will be three rounds of allotment, the first round will be  publication of first round seat allotment.  The result will take place after the mock allotment. The first allotment will be taken.  Now, once this first round allotment has been done. You can check that in the KA website and after that you will have four choices for example in this first seat allotment you got a college uh RNS. If you remember, CMR and  RNS.

You have to think around two like for example, your rank is 7,000. So, you should target colleges from ranking from 5,000 to 9,000. Okay, which all colleges come between these rank 5,000 to 9,000. Their top branches have their placements. You have to select and put down the option entry. Okay, I hope this process is very clear. I know, it may be very new to you but this is how, it works and this is how, it will help you to get your best college.
