Since admission is through JEE now the cutoffs are released based on JEE Main rank and it differs from branch to branch and shift to shift So last year for CSE, the cutoff was somewhere between 3000 to 5000 ranks depending on the shift The highest cutoff for a shift went up to 2500 rank which means if you scored well in JEE you have a strong chance to get your preferred branch and shift On the other hand branches like ICE and EEE are easier to get into so even with a lower rank you can still get a seat. But remember, placement in those branches is not as strong, so if you are targeting a good job after graduation, try to aim for CSE or IT.
