Bharatiya vidya Bhavan, dedicated to the promotion of Education, Art and Culture, The Foundation stone of the Bhavan’s Delhi Kendra on 31st March 1952, inaugurated Delhi Kendra on 16th May 1957. What began as a modest effort of a visionary has now become a global network comprising 114 centers in India and 7 centers overseas. In year 2002, the most prestigious Gandhi peace prize was awarded to Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan by president of India for its significant contribution towards Education and promotion of peace and harmony among all faiths and communities
